About Us

The primary goal of the organization is to provide regular monthly contact for Americans residing in Curaçao. We welcome all women who are either U.S. citizens, or whose husband or children are U.S. citizens. Canadian women are also invited to join our club. The Curaçao chapter of the American Women’s Club is also a proud member of FAWCO, the Federation of American Women Overseas.

Our monthly general meeting takes place as a coffee morning at a member’s home. It is scheduled for the first Thursday of each month (from September through June). This meeting is sometimes adjusted according to school holidays. During the coffee morning there is time to socialize and catch up on club activities.

The club organizes various cultural and/or social events for members and their families, and celebrates the traditional American holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Our club, while a social organization, has another very important goal. We help our island of Curaçao through charitable donations to various local charities through fund-raising activities throughout the year. The club also has a special fund dedicated to improving education on the island. Together, we have accomplished great success in our local philanthropic activities and have a great time during the process.
